This is my Story

 

 

 

 

 

 

I have always enjoyed helping people, even when at the detriment of my own wellbeing. I was a people pleaser lacking boundaries in some of the most extreme ways. How does somebody know what healthy boundaries are, if all they are use to is the crossing of said boundaries? 

Getting to a point in my life I had found myself on a journey of self-development bringing me to the awareness of all the patterns and beliefs that were carried into adulthood from my childhood. This was a "light bulb moment" for me. I decided that I was going to break the patterns that I was use to and help other people do the same. This motivated me to complete my life-coach training, followed by relationship coach training and parenting training and became certified and qualified in all areas. These qualifications and experiences enabled me to support people as a profession.

On this journey, I realised a key takeaway. If you have an unhealthy relationship with yourself this will show up in your life, relationships and parenting. No matter how much you try to be the best person you can, if you are not dealing with the root cause, the limiting beliefs will inhibit your successful interactions in life. 

What makes people have a unhealthy relationship with themselves? Yes, childhood trauma.

I then went on to learn the work of Dr Gabor Mate (trauma expert)  compassionate enquiry. This led me to become a trauma informed Life Coach and for me that's where all the real healing and change came about.

Issues that manifest from unhealed childhood trauma

Low self-worth, people pleasing, can't say no, feel guilty when saying no, self-blame, vulnerable to manipulation, ignoring red flags, staying in toxic situations, self-sabotage, addictions, sabotaging healthy relationships and generating drama in stable relationships.
